Studio headshots without the studio
A clean studio look is the safest choice in professional photography. Soft, even light removes distractions and puts every bit of attention on your face. It works for LinkedIn, team pages, speaker bios, and anywhere a plain photo needs to look intentional.
Common questions
Do studio photos look obviously AI generated?
The backdrop is the easiest part of a photo to render convincingly, because a seamless studio wall has almost nothing in it to get wrong. The tell in AI studio shots is usually the skin, so we ask for the texture a camera actually records rather than a retouched finish, and add sensor grain to the file afterwards.
What should I wear for a studio shot?
Solid mid-tone colours photograph best against a grey backdrop. Avoid tight stripes and small checks, which can shimmer. Type what you want in the extra instructions box, for example a navy crewneck or a white shirt with no tie, and it will be used.
Is a studio photo right for a dating profile?
As one photo in a set, yes. It is the clearest look at your face, which reassures people. On its own it can read as a work photo, so pair it with a café or outdoor shot so the profile does not look like a LinkedIn page.
How many studio variations will I get?
Four different studio setups, and they are genuinely different: a soft key light at forty-five degrees, a harder light with a defined shadow edge, an even beauty light, and a low-key side light with half the face in shadow. You will not get the same photo four times.
